Methods to crack CPT

You may all have heard results of CPT revoles between 25-40%. The question arises how to be in passing list. The main mantra would be study with “techniques”.

What techniques?

We have enquired to many students who successively cracked CPT & also the students who Failed. The main difference was technique of study.

By hearing this steps would surely help you to crackdown CPT.

1. Learn all the theories & practical question which are given in MODULE. It becomes boon many times in the examination.
2. Read/Learn all the theory part thorouly from MODULE.
3. Checkout the previous years question papers eg. Scanner
4. Be a planner before writing your paper eg. How much questions should be attempted or to be left.
5. For one wrong there is extra deduction of -0.25. So for one wrong total -1.25 will be deducted.

How to make a choice of a question to be attempted?

The question which you are not sure should not attempted. But if you feel answer may be right, there is another technique: If you have attempted 4 question which is doubtful If all these 4 are right you gain 4marks, But if 2 are wrong & 2 are right then you will get benefit of +1.5 marks(2marks of right answer-0.5 of 2 wrong). But if 1 is right & 3 are wrong, you will get benefit of +.25 marks(1 marks of 1 right -.75 of 3 wrong)

Its not about hours of studies, its about technique of studying.

One must also Know the techniques of writing papers in Examination hall.

There are 4 subject papers & the time allotted is 4hours. One must complete LAW & ACCOUNTS paper i.e.Section1 in minimum 1hour 30minutes& rest time should be allotted to Section 2 i.e. MATHEMATICS&STATISTICS & ECONOMICS so that there is ample time for maths. The main subject to score would be law, eco& a/c.If a student make up most of their marks in these 3 subjects, then it would surely benefit.

Which books to refer?

The most important books will be Module which is given by the ICAI & secondary option would be SCANNER-in which past years papers are given with answers, there are 2 edition of scanner i.e. question with answers &other with only questions. In C.P.T writing practice is not important, the more the solving Multiple Choice Questions, the more will benefit. Solving more M.C.Q Will prove boon.
